Awesome Volunteer Opportunities for Enduro World Series in Aspen/Snowmass July 17-30

July 21

RFMBA is excited to partner with Big Mountain Enduro on the only U.S. stop of the Enduro World Series, here in Aspen/Snowmass!  July 29th and 30th is your chance to check out some of the fastest and most skilled mountain bike racers in the world!
While most locals won’t be racing, we’ve got some great volunteer opportunities available that will get you as close to the action as possible.  In return for your time and effort, you can expect to earn event t-shirt and hat swag + free food and drink to keep you fueled up.
During week of July 17-21, we need some volunteer trail prep help in Snowmass. Contact Tyler Lindsay directly at tlindsay@aspensnowmass.com or 970-309-9980 to get more details on when + where to jump onto this crew for a few hours.  You’ll likely get a sneak preview of part of the race course, and maybe even some ride time if you commit to this opportunity.
During week of July 24-28, we need volunteer help with course marking, marshaling during practice sessions, and assistance with sponsor load-in at the Snowmass Base Village Expo area.  Contact Brandon Ontiveros and Mike Day at brandon@bigmountainenduro.com, mike@bigmountainenduro.com or Brandon at 303-551-4813 to raise your hand.  Volunteer early and free up your weekend!
During the races on July 29th, 30th, we need assistance with timing efforts, and support on course with marshals at trail/road crossings.  Contact Brandon Ontiveros and Mike Day at brandon@bigmountainenduro.com, mike@bigmountainenduro.com or Brandon at 303-551-4813 to get a prime posting.  Again, this is your best chance to get up close to the action while playing a part in making this a successful event.

Aspen/Snowmass will host the only U.S. stop of the Enduro World Series in 2017. The two-day event will blend high altitude riding adventures mixed with some of the biggest descents and best riding in the area. Expect a heavy pro field, the largest cash payout of any 2016 BME event and some new trails that have yet to be raced on.

If you don’t want to volunteer, feel free to stop by the EWS/BME vendor expo in Snowmass to talk trails with us, especially after racing concludes each day.

The combination of the Aspen Mountain and Snowmass Bike Park terrain and the surrounding trails within the valley, offer some of the most diverse mountain biking in the country. Aspen Mountain and Snowmass Bike Park are the only lift served biking in the U.S. that can take riders on 4,000-foot descents, beginning above tree line and ending in the high mountain desert. Riders should expect to see six stages and over 15,000 feet of descending and 1,500 feet of climbing, with both lift served and back country access to start lines and with a wide variety of raw terrain that top riders are looking for. Snowmass has supported mountain biking and gravity riding for over 15 years going back to the NORBA Nationals and World Cup Downhill racing. Throughout all the years, Snowmass has remained progressive every step of the way and the local crew is excited to showcase this venue to the mountain bike world, which will be the sixth stop on the EWS tour.
