Where to Park at Prince Creek?

May 1, 2018

The new Bull Pen parking lot located on Prince Creek road will not be open until sometime mid-summer.  So where should mountain bikers who drive to access the Prince Creek trail network park?

Not at the new trail head (future parking lot) … for now.

Until the new parking lot is finished, Pitkin County and the BLM asks trail riders to park in the town of Carbondale, at the end of the pavement, or higher up on BLM property.   Not off to the sides and shoulders of the paved portion of Prince Creek Road.

Pitkin County and the BLM thank you for your patience until the new 35 space Bull Pen parking lot is completed.

The county recently constructed a trail that runs parallel to Prince Creek Road from the Bull Pen to a trail network on U.S. Bureau of Land Management property known as the Crown for better biker and pedestrian safety.

For more info on the parking lot and new trails, check out the Aspen Times
